What the community says about A Birthday For Frances
- "I bought this book for my little daughter. A Birthday For Frances, is such a cute little children's book. She instantly was drawn to the cute animals on the cover as well as the lush colors. She tells me to read it to her every night and during the days I find her just flipping through and looking at the beautiful illustrations. I have to say I love this book as much as she does because it really makes my days easier to have something that captures her attention. An added bonus is the story is also very funny to read through too. I make a lot of faces and accentuate certain lines which she loves. Have fun with this book and enjoy it with your kids."
- "My son picked this up randomly at the book fair when we gave him a budget and he went a little overboard. The book ended up being way below his reading level and we are saving it for our toddler. The story is nice, but it is definitely a longer preschool/kindergarten level book."
- "Looking for something in the children's fantasy book series, I found that A Birthday For Frances was the interesting read. Obviously birthday themes, it was published by Harper Collins and written by Russell Hoban. Very nice illustrations overall keep the imagination reaching."

in What are the best children's books"Frances is a classic that I remember my mom reading to me, and here I am reading it to my own kids. The funny, feisty, Frances will keep your little one entertained for sure! The sketched illustrations alone will keep your child reaching for this classic!"
