"This is a good book for fans of Janet Evanoich. Kinsey is a bit more serious/realistic than Stephanie Plum, but a good start to a series featuring a strong female investigator. I think you'll like it."

"This is a good mystery novel but the baqck of toilet bowl cleaner could be good to read if you were bored enough. Sue Grafton is a well known and beloved author in this genre. You will like it. Likely anyway."

"I was never one for the detective, murder mysteries, but for the most part I did enjoy this book.Sue Grafton has a way of describing thing that you can almost picture them. She reminds me a bit of Janet Evanovich, with out some of the humor."

"Interesting start to a mystery series, although I feel the whole "A-Z" series are kind of played out. It fits the bill if you are looking to start an alphabetized collection of books. "

"A is for Alibi is a good read if your looking for a nonfiction book with a feminist type character. However, if you're looking for a non-fiction book to read about second wave feminism or just looking to read a book based on that topic of interest, this book is probably not for you. The book is more of a mystery with a feminist character playing the lead investigator."

"Get ready for a fun ride! Kinsey Millhone is a character that you are going to fall in love with. She's smart, independent and tough -- and can solve crime like "one of the boys"."
