What the community says about A Season in Carcosa
- "This is a collection of short stories that features Barron. It includes a lot of other others as well, and although the stories are good for the most part, the book has been edited terribly for basic grammar and mechanics. It really needs to be revisited by an author who can tackle the English language and present the stories in a legible, readable format. I wouldn't recommend it to somebody as an example of Barron's best work. He has his own books that stand alone and would provide a better example. "
- "I always liked the show True Detective. I have become interested in the crime genre. At work I have down time but cannot watch TV so I get books to read. I grabbed the book a Season in Carcosa. t reminded me of True Detective when I was reading it. I love these types of books."

- "I'd say this probably isn't going to be a book that shows up on the top sci-fi and fantasy book list. Probably not even for the year it was released. I noticed that there aren't many reviews for the book and while some seem to enjoy it others point out that it is full of editing mistakes which would definitely hamper my enjoyment of the book."

in What are the best fantasy novels"This book is pretty good, but it does have the occasional plot inconsistencies that make it a pretty hard swallow. But, as an anthology, it is full of stories that are quite interesting to read. It's quite hard to really give an overview as it is a lot of different things at once, but it was enjoyable if you don't get upset at typing errors and misspellings."
