"By Eleanor and Park, All the Bright Places introduces us to the suicidal Theodore and leads up through his meeting with Violet. This is one of their best works to date and offers an delightful story for the reader to enjoy at their leisure. "

"All the Bright Places starts off strong, following the lives of two young people dealing with their own, yet similar issues. But as things progress, the story starts to become too cliched. Why does everyone in these books always need to fall in love the same way?! It's good enough to read, but I don't think I'd ever want to read it again."

This books follows Theodore, who has bad things on his mind and Violet, who has her own issues. You follow these two as you watch them become closer. A really great book written beautifully by Niven. "All I need to say is the world needs more books like this. So many of us struggle with mental health or other pain and often reading can help us relate to our own feelings. There is nothing cliche or expected about this book. I’m not sure how much I would want our young people to read this, but sadly they need to."

"All the Bright Places is an exceptionally accurate portrayal of dealing with mental illness. Theodore is really relatable to anyone who has had suicidal thoughts or mental illness. It does a great job of showing both sides of how it affects people."

"This book broke my heart. I'm not sure if it fits the category 100%, as it deals mostly with suicide and things of that nature. But I suppose Suicide is an illness - either way, it's a must read!"

"This is a kind of book that only certain people would find interesting. I did not like it very much because the whole plot evolved around death. I'm a colorful person and like books filled with life. I recommend this kind of book to people who like dark themes."

"This is a really interesting book that would be better if the main characters weren't so young. I'm just not comfortable with this kind of relationship being portrayed as healthy when honestly it's just setting up a very codependent foundation."

"I love books with a "young adult" theme and I recently came across "All the Bright Places" by Jennifer Niven. I instantly fell in love with this book given how relatable the characters were and how compelling the story was. It is a very touching story and it'll definitely leave you in tears in certain spots. The story covers quite a few "serious" topics and I could see this upsetting a few readers however. Overall though, I would highly recommend it to any teen out there or anyone who loves young adult novels."

"In All the Bright Places, I was intrigued by Jenniver Niven's way of telling of romantic story without being over the top. It was more modern and I could really get into the development of the characters. I thought Theodore was charming and it helped balance out the sad side of Violet who was in need of comfort for a better part of the novel. Well written book overall. "
