- "All the Bright Places starts off strong, following the lives of two young people dealing with their own, yet similar issues. But as things progress, the story starts to become too cliched. Why does everyone in these books always need to fall in love the same way?! It's good enough to read, but I don't think I'd ever want to read it again."
- "There are so many things about this book that make it amazing. The characters, the setting, the amazing writing by the author, take your pick. This books follows Theodore, who has bad things on his mind and Violet, who has her own issues. You follow these two as you watch them become closer. A really great book written beautifully by Niven. So many of us struggle with mental health or other pain and often reading can help us relate to our own feelings. There is nothing cliche or expected about this book. I’m not sure how much I would want our young people to read this, but sadly they need to.""All the Bright Places is an exceptionally accurate portrayal of dealing with mental illness. Theodore is really relatable to anyone who has had suicidal thoughts or mental illness. It does a great job of showing both sides of how it affects people."
- "I love books with a "young adult" theme and I recently came across "All the Bright Places" by Jennifer Niven. I instantly fell in love with this book given how relatable the characters were and how compelling the story was. It is a very touching story and it'll definitely leave you in tears in certain spots. The story covers quite a few "serious" topics and I could see this upsetting a few readers however. Overall though, I would highly recommend it to any teen out there or anyone who loves young adult novels."
- "In All the Bright Places, I was intrigued by Jenniver Niven's way of telling of romantic story without being over the top. It was more modern and I could really get into the development of the characters. I thought Theodore was charming and it helped balance out the sad side of Violet who was in need of comfort for a better part of the novel. Well written book overall. "
