"I think everyone should read this book. No, seriously. It's a great allegory of the socialist movement and with these ideas coming back into our lives today, I think everyone should be aware of the consequences. Orwell does an amazing job at leaving you feeling upset and angry at how stupid some of the animals can be, but then we turn around and have to see that is what many today are like. He also hits the media and its ever-changing truth spot on. I suggest this book to everyone I know, and I even bought this as a gift for my Mom. It's a quick read, but will be something you come back to often."

"Animal Farm is an amazing classic novel that deals with a communist society and the social injustices it can create. It is a wonderful book, and tackles the subject well if you are able to look past the animals, and relate it to actual people."

"Animal Farm is a classic book in many ways. It is great writing, it is symbolic, and it is historical as well as entertaining. It fits many people's needs and can be read by teenagers to older adults. It is a work of historical symbolic fiction and should be read as many as possible."

"Animal farm by George Orwell is a classic that has deep underlying themes that are forever timeless and relevant. The poor and mistreated rise up to fight against their oppressor, but it's not a fairytale but a realistic depiction of society's struggles. A required reading in many high school courses and a favorite of many."

"My child is a super advanced reader, but it's hard to find books that are age-appropriate AND on an advanced level. So I did a search for Mensa-recommended books for ages 9 to 12. This was one of the results and I remember loving it as a teenager. She read it all in one day and now lists it as one of her favorites."

"Animal Farm is a shocking but effective tale of politics and morality. The book manages to pack a lot about human nature and history into a slim and meaningful volume. It is not only an exploration of our past, but also a warning about our future; highly recommended to anyone cynical of revolution."

"Animal Farm reinforces the idea that it is not power that corrupts but the love of power. Orwell uses the analogy of an animal farm to reveal a story of today, but instead of the old Soviet Block of the 1940s it is perhaps Bilderberg or the infamous Global Elite that are the forces behind the corruption. "I've always been a fan of Orwell, and I particularly enjoyed reading Animal Farm, so I was a little disappointed to see all the reviews online who completely missed the point of the book and the ideology of its author. According to one reviewer, "he (Orwell) would probably die of depression if he saw how the highly-credentialed but uneducated elites and cosseted youth purport to pine for socialism." Orwell's own words directly contradict this, however; as he put it "Every line of serious work that I have written since 1936 has been written, directly or indirectly, against totalitarianism and for democratic socialism...""

It tells a pretty dark web of the darkness of mankind, and of communism. Orwell was a literary genius, and this book is well-known for good reason."

"An extraordinary book, I have been reading it since I was a teenager, every time I read it I find another nuance, another sinister tableau carefully embroidered into a "fairy story", but isn't the whole issue a fairy story? A huge, monstrous deception that highlights our immense collective naivety and need to fervently believe in something pure and altruistic? After all that is how the myriads sects and confessions thrive."

This book tells a fairly typical story with good morals about treating people or animals how you would want to be treated but it does it in a very unique and fun way. Perfect book for anyone heading into college."

"This book is all that the category suggests. The book is about a farm where the animals are slaved and mistreated to such an extent that they have an upheaval and take over the farm. The personification of the animals is what lends to the creepy sort of reality in this novel. Once you pick this up you will not be able to put it back down. Instead of looking at it as just a book try to identify real life, especially during that time period, to this book."

This book defines all the similarities of other creations of the author but in a very positive way. George Orwell is one of those authors that does not need to change just to please all, but he sticks to his formula to be considered one of the greatest."

"I bought this book because it is a classic. This book is definitely a book with a mission to point out the dangers society, if not humanity as a whole can face when certain ideologies take hold. Regardless of political views, this is a must read for all who value the quality of their environments, their governments, and those who ultimately can either make or break the health of a society. This is a deep read, explored in a not so threatening way. I give Orwell's Animal Farm a strong recommendation."
