"My four year old daughter recently discovered a love for horses. We went and bought this book as a way to bond and spend time together. I found myself becoming extremely engaged in this book and will remember it for years to come. "

""Billy and Blaze" is written for the beginner reader. I don't think this falls into the Christian category, but it looks like a wholesome and delightful story. If your reader loves horses, than I would say this book is absolutely for them. It's also the first in the series, so your reader can enjoy the characters for many books. This book is loved by boys and girls of all ages."

"My daughter asked me to buy this book for her and I squeeled out of joy because it's the same book I read when I was in elementary school! The fact that this book is still requested after over 25 years should say everything it needs to. It's a heartwarming book about a pony named Aladdin and a boy named Billy. It's such a memorable book, definitely buy it!"

"Weekly Reader Children's Book Club has a huge collection of books and in my opinion there are just a few of them has significant difference from the other. Billy and Blaze is one of those decent ones. You have a kid interested in horses, you should make him/her read this one. The author by C.W. Anderson is also known as a great horse books writer."

"Any story about a gift pony should be read by every kid ever. Gift ponies are great. Older books can easily still ring true in our lives, and the younger generations should see that. "

"I got this book for my sixth grader, and it was a little below his reading level. The book seemed outdated and somewhat ismple for someone of that age. He said it wasn't a bad read, but just tad boring."

"While this book may not resonate with many modern children, if your middle schooler is longing for a simpler life they may find this book to be a nice escape. Also great for girls who love horses."

"A really wonderful children's book that is really appropriate for nearly all ages, but I'd recommend from 6 and up to get the full enjoyment. It has been out a few years now and remains one of the stables of my household with my child. It's something that I read as a kid and now want my son to read as well. A true classic."

"This was one of my favorite children's books when I was growing up and I am so happy to get to share it with my nephew now. He has always loved animals, especially horses, so Billy and Blaze: A Boy and His Pony was especially exciting to him. He wants to read it over and over."
