What the community says about Bunheads
- "Sophie Flack having lived the life of a Bunhead provides the reader with a realistic peek into the life of a professional ballerina. Although, many aspiring young girls dream of dancing for a major ballet company, like Hannah the main character, there is no denying you must make difficult choices if you want to be promoted to soloist. Throughout the book Hannah and her peers struggle to maintain a work life balance and find time for themselves while working towards the next levels of their careers. I enjoyed reading this book and thought the author did an excellent job of presenting both the technical and the emotional side of being a ballet dancer. I thought the book was well written but would have liked more character development, as it seemed that we only saw the surface emotions for the characters but didn't go much deeper. Sophie Flack clearly is a talented writer and I look forward to more offerings from this author in the future."
- "My niece loves reading, but will only read stories with female protagonists, so that she can relate to them. I think this novel, Bunheads, would be perfect for her. It's a story with a female main character and it's ideal for young adults, as my niece is. It's a great romance story about a ballerina."
