"I did not finish this book. It is rare that I don't finish, but there really wasn't anything likable about it. Not the characters, not the plot, not the writing style.."
  • Randy Nelson

"This is just a bizarre concept. Somehow it works on some level, but it is overall just fairly strange. Even if you like more abstract books then this is still a bit strange. Enjoy...if you want."

"For what reads as a slash fiction gone awry, Cake was surprisingly interesting. It's obviously taken a lot of elements from Underworld, but that's not necessarily a bad things. I found the sex scenes failed to arouse me, but there was enough plot it didn't matter terribly much."
