What the community says about Cedric and the Dragon
- "I found the suggested book very insightful from the perspective of inducing children with a sense of non-conformity oriented approach to solving the problems. What I admired about it is that this book while at first it shows the main character as incompetent, but later, the hidden talent and ability within the apparently displayed incompetent character, actually is of benefit and efficiency toward solving the problem. I think it is a very good thing to make children believe that there are other sides of our self that can solve things in a more balanced way."
- "This is really a fun book for small children! The illustrations are fun and happy. The book teaches children wonderful lessons about bullying, helping them see good qualities in others and helps them to learn how to solve conflicts. It's done in a way that will actually be able to bring home these points, with a gentle and kind approach. Also, a great Christian book!"
- "This is a great book for western kids to learn values that are becoming less and less present in western society. It teaches inherent self value, pacifism, and kindness, and these are values that are not only less present in western society but more needed because of social deviation. The book does it well, with familiar but lovable characters that imaginative children can relate to."
- "Cedric and the Dragon by Elizabeth Raum and illustrated by Nina Victor Crittenden is an absolutely wonderful tale. It inspires by reminding us that everyone has something to contribute and something good about them. I bought this book for my grandkids, but I think all ages could benefit from this warm hearted tale in today’s society that is hard on self esteem. "
