"After all the hype of 'Fifty Shades' a few years back, there's been a lull in the world of BDSM erotica. Thomas's book is a strong successor to the Fifty Shades dynasty, but I found the novel was lacking the Fifty Shades passion. Still, it's a good read for anyone looking to sate their following the Fifty Shades hysteria."

"Comfort Food made me feel good. It was a powerful novel. The story is quite fascinating and well-written. "

"This book has caught me emotionally, though there's more of an explicit content and stuff, the author was able to make a good story out of it. If you're into erotic books, this one's a must-read!!!"

"This book is intense! The author is almost messing with the reader's mind in the same way Master messes with Emily's, which makes it compelling. If you like dark erotica, this will push your buttons, but make sure you know what you're getting into first."

"The erotica/psychological thriller Comfort Food is definitely not for everybody. When I read this book I was looking for a normal, sensual romance novel. I was very shocked to say the least. I would not suggest this book unless you are really interested in erotica/psychological thrillers. I found it to be pretty disturbing."

"While this book might fulfill your lust for a strange kind of erotica, no incest is involved. This novel explores a woman's desire for her captor and will definitely leave you asking for more."

"Comfort Food is one of the better erotic romance books with kidnapping scenes in it. Thomas writes well and the scenes are done realistically. The action is titillating and well worth a purchase to experience."

"This book is the definition of taboo. I found myself trying to hide it because it's one of those where you don't want someone to ask, "What are you reading?""

"Comfort Food was a pretty good psychological thriller. It was recommended to me by a friend and I wasn't disappointed. It's about a woman named Emily Vargas who is captured and abused by her captor. The book has very mature sexual themes."

"I guess this fits the title with abused or traumatized characters. It tells the story of someone who is kidnapped and has Stockholm Syndrome. Not my genre. I did not like the book and the erotica seemed forced literally. I did not finish it. "

"Comfort Food is a great novel! If ever there was a page-turner this is it, Kitty Thomas's prose here is moving and intriguing. The relationship between Emily and her captor is interesting as well, to say the least. This is a great beach read or just an everyday read for anyone who likes dark romance."
  • Judith Stevens

"I don't know much about this genre of books, but when I researched this title I could not believe that this book was actually on the list. The premise of the book is so cheesy-like a dime store romance novel. So the solution is good-I would definitely change the wording on the summary to make it seem alot more appealing. The ratings for the book were 4 out of 5 stars, so it sells."

"Comfort Food is an erotic psychological thriller about a woman who experiences Stockholm Syndrome after being held captive by a handsome and intriguing man. She finds herself in an intense relationship that equates pain with pleasure. "
