"First off, I like the cover of this book. It has an ominous feel. As to the plot, I am less enthused, it's a typical thriller romance type of book."

"A little interesting but not much. I would rather read non-fiction true crime then made up stuff."
  • Megan Hicks

"Listen, this is a pretty compelling read, for sure, but I wouldn't say it's about friends becoming lovers. The guy our heroine falls for is her kidnapper, which is pretty sexy, but it's a whole different vibe from a slow burn born out of friendship. I so recommend it if you are interested in the story though"

"While looking for a romance novel, I came across Crow's Row. It is more of a thriller than a romance. While it was a decent read, it wasn't what I was looking for."

"This is an interesting book to say the least. I know it's fiction, but it's situations are too unbelievable at some points. The premise is OK, but I just can't wrap my head around some of he plot points in the story. It's an OK read, but not for everyone. "

"This book has good reviews and a good story line. it's semi old, but people still enjoy it."

"This is a very unrealistic and poorly written book. I would not recommend it to romantic people because it's such an unrealistic story that would never even happen. It is not a typical romance and the characters are very unbelievable and flat. I know there are more books to come in this series and I will not be reading them. This book alone was hard to get through and just laughably unrealistic. "

"I thought this book was super intense, it's a romance but sometimes it borders on thriller/horror. I plan on introducing it to my book club very soon. "

"Crow's Row is a romance book that takes place on a college campus. I don't know if college girls need or want something like this. The writing was pretty terrible."

"Crow's Row is a book written by Julie Hockley. The book centers on college student Emily Sheppard as she was held captive in rural Vermont as she tries to make sense of her situation and what it means once she witnesses a brutal killing."

"Truth be told this wasn't the worst thing I've ever read in my life. That being said, it's a very paint by the numbers novel for younger teenage girls."

"Those darn overprotective boyfriends...so pesky. I would say that this is less about one of those and more about some sketchy criminal types. I liked it...but I didn't love it."

"If you're looking for a suspenseful romance book to read this summer, look no further than "Crow's Row" by Julie Hockley. I'm not even typically into these types of books but the plot caught my eye and I decided to give it a try on a whim. I am glad I did because this book is awesome and it will definitely keep you entertained to the very end. The story might be a little unrealistic to some extent but if you can suspend your disbelief for awhile you'll be pleasantly surprised. Do yourself a favor and check out this book!"

"This seems like a gross plot that i dont know how it relates to romance. It is something i would clearly avoid."
  • Cheryl Bryant

"This is a little more macabre than I like my romance books. I'm not sure a brutal killing is something I want to think about when I'm looking for hot and steamy."

"Crow's Row is a new adult romance book written by Julie Hockley which centers on college student Emily Sheppard, the thought of spending a summer alone in New York is much more preferable than spending it in France with her parents. Just completing her freshman year at Callister University, Emily faces a quiet summer in the city slums, supporting herself by working at the campus library. During one of her jogs through the nearby cemetery while visiting her brother Bill's grave, Emily witnesses a brutal killing-and then she blacks out."

"This is a very interesting and unique story. I never thought I'd enjoy this genre of adult romances so much. But you will truly feel for the characters in a way that will lead you wanting more."
