"As far as stories about Muslim teenagers go, this is the best one I've come across. I haven't come across too many, but this one is genuinely touching, as a young woman embraces her faith and deals with the reactions. It wasn't patronizing at all, which is what I usually expect from these kinds of novels. Instead, it was incredibly humanizing and I recommend it."

"This book is a classic. I was assigned to read this in high school and thought, initially before opening it that it was another lame book fore class. I finished it in two days. The characters are rich in development and their situations are very real. I am glad it is finally available on Kindle. The follow up, The Promise is also a must read. "

"My neighbor wanted her daughter to learn more about her Islamic culture growing up in the USA. She bought her the book, Does My Head Look Big In This written beautifully by Randa Abdel-Fattah. It's a great book for children to comprehend the intricacies of their own faith and religion."

"My teenage daughter is rather cultured, and given what's going on in the world right now she wants to know more of the Muslim culture. I bought her this book and she really enjoyed it. Would recommend based off that."

"Ever wonder how others live, now you can see how a teenager grows up Muslim. Amal Is a sixteen year old girl who wears a hijab full time and is bullied. However Amal‘s faith is strong. "

"This is one of those books that is hilarious. It was a very pleasant read and I really liked it. I am not religious to a large extent, but I do enjoy understanding the diverse differences in religious beliefs. I also admire people who overcome adversity because of their beliefs and this book is just that. Amal is very brave and does not let anyone influence her beliefs. This story has a great plot and a life teaching for everyone."

"Preachy garbage encouraging children to not think for themselves and just blindly follow the ways of their forefathers. So basically a 10/10."

"Christmas books are not that most common. Does my head look big in this is odd yet endearing."
