"This book really didn't appeal to me. I thought that the plot was confusing and hard to follow. Additionally, the dialogue of this story just unfortunately wasn't all that good. I found the characters hard to relate to and I didn't really find the interactions between any of the characters sincere. The whole thing just didn't really work for me, unfortunately. "

"I have always enjoyed Ms. Moriarty's adult books and I was very excited to find her children's book Earthling Ambassador (Space Brigade). I have a young one and we both enjoy reading this before bedtime. She is such a great writer as she is able to recognize humor in the most serious situations and writes so well that it motivates my kids to read more."

"We had the grandkids over, and I needed something to keep them entertained. I thought it'd be a cool trick to show them what an actual book looks like, as their heads seem always buried in those blasted i-whatevers. This was a great purchase: Nicola is written convincingly, and the situations are kid safe."

"The Earthling Ambassador (Space Brigade) is a very good space book for kids. It's relatable to them yet still smart and very interesting. My niece loves it and now wants to read more from the author."

"Liane Moriarty is perhaps better known for her fiction for grown-ups, but Earthling Ambassador exposes her talents to young readers. In an age when a story like this might be something you see on TV, it's great that this is a book with a young female hero. "

"My daughter liked this book. She's into science fiction but it has been difficult to find more feminine sci fi books for her age. This book has definitely gotten her interest and she's looking forward to Dad getting her the next one."

"This is a fun quick read for middle-grade children. There's enough sci-fci action, romance, and intrigue without getting too dark. "

"This is a decent solution for the topic. It is a pretty good book for older children to read with a very creative storyline. It may be a little too advanced for a younger child to read on their own."
