"Fatherland is an interesting read about an alternative world where Hitler won World War II. And, of course, the book follows a detective who finds conspiracy going all the way to the top. Not unusual, but taking place in an alternate reality does certainly add a bit of flair to the story. Kudos to the author for that. I enjoyed reading it, and I definitely think it's worth picking up. Give it a try!"
"I read this book twenty years ago and thought it was extraordinary in using a WW 2 Victorious Nuclear Germany as the backdrop for a Detective story. I remembered a completely different book. It was better upon the second reading. What remained the same was the surprise twist at end, which pulled the whole story together."
"Fatherland is a really interesting mystery book that takes place in a world where Hitler won WWII. It's an interesting scenery and the book it well written with great characters. Really an interesting read."
