What the community says about Fragile Things: Short Fictions and Wonders
- "This is an interesting collection of fantasy short stories. I had a couple afternoons to kill, and these were an enjoyable read. Neil Gaiman is a great author."
- "Neil Gaiman is a great author and while I love his stories this book did not really meet my expectations. I did not like the old woman who eats her cat alive tale at all. This set the tone for the book for me and I did not enjoy it as I do his other works. To say it is his best work I could not agree to it. ""Fragile Things: Short Fictions and Wonders is my current favorite story. Neil Gaiman's finest work in this collection. Truly the best."
- "As great of a writer that Neil Gaiman is I really was unimpressed with this collection. While some of the stories were fine many of them were underdeveloped and boring. It also really doesn't help there isn't much of a theme to these stories besides here's what he had lying around when the publisher called up."
- "This is a really great book with short stories. Neil Gaiman is an award winning writer and has a wonderful writing style. All of the short stories are very interesting and unique from other things I've read in the past. The book has received many great reviews and I would recommend it if you are wanting to read more from Neil Gaiman. ""if you are looking for a good read, pick Fragile Things: Short Fictions and Wonders is a collection of short stories from multi-award winning novelist Neil Gaiman. its such a good book"

in What are the best fantasy books"Even the best craftsmen, or authors, make a bad product occasionally. Neil Gaiman is a fantastic author, but this is not one of his best works. Not even a good one really. If you haven't read anything else by him, you would be doing yourself a disservice by reading this first, as it will likely give you a bad impression. Instead, I would highly recommend literally anything else he has written."
