What the community says about Grimspace (Sirantha Jax)
- "I really don't know. I heard good things about the book from my friends but I just don't get it. The reason I didn't give this book an even lower score is because I stopped 2/3rds of the way through. It's quite a bore, really dull. I found myself having finished a page without absorbing the information and I'd have to reread it only to realize I still don't care. If you like this book, more power to you. It's just not for me."
- "In some ways the main characters (Sirantha Jax and March) are straight out of central casting, and a bit passe. But that is a minor detraction in what is a well imagined novel with a smart and sassy heroine. There has been a glut of fantasy heroines in recent years, but Sirantha holds her own as a worthy protagonist with a story to live and tell."

- "A real good military space opera books with female soldiers is Grimspace. A science fiction novel written by Ann Aguirre. Originally published in 2008, it focuses on Sirantha Jax, a human with a genetic anomaly that allows her to jump ships through grimspace. Lot of action with mad scientists galore!"
- "This book is the best solution for bored teens during the summer. Bought this book for my niece ad it held her attention to the last page. Then she loaned it to her best friend and both girls have talked about this book all summer! This is a Sci Fi classic and a must read for all."
