What the community says about Half World
- "The cover art style for this book is great, I am not familiar with the author but judging by his titles, I feel like I should be getting into her work, I am interested for sure. Hayao Miyazaki is widely known for his masterpieces like the most famous one, My Neighbor Totoro, this book is in the spectrum in that category but I can say, this one is worth reading without the comparison."
- "This is an amazing book, but a warning - it's like the old, old fairy tales, where people actually get hurt, the world is hard, and maybe everything is perfect in the end. IT is both a very personal tale, and one about the whole world. Perfect for young adults who are trying to become themselves, but still find their place in the world. But that said, it's not set in Asia. It's set in Canada, and mysterious not-earth realms. There is quite a bit of Japanese folklore integrated, but I don't think I can call it set in Asia. Alas."
- "I got interested in lesbian fantasy novels after taking a course on this type of fiction in college. Did you know this type of literature goes back decades. Obviously, we're seeing more of it now. I also noticed it is definitely more explicit than those older novels. Still worth picking up for genre fans."
