"Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix has one of the brightest blue dust cover jackets. I needed just that hue of blue to complete a home staging project. The results were really eye-catching which is just what the project was intended for."

"So I have a 13 year old son and I googled what was the best books that every 13/14 year old should read. I ended up finding out the Harry Potter series was a great one, lucky for me he had just finished the fourth book so I got him Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix. I really love him and now he really loves me too."

"Hogwarts seems like the type of school most kids dream of. It is a school surrounded by wizardry, magical creatures, and mystery. I can't imagine there being a single child alive that wouldn't want to be a part of this amazing boarding school. The school is a central location for most of this amazing story. "

"the fifth installment from my favorite book series of all time was a difficult one for me to get through. The tone of this novel changes completely compared to the fun of the first four. I found Harry's attitude to make me not want to keep reading the book. But the last few chapters really accelerate and set up the rest of the series. This is a must read, but it is by far my least favorite in the series. "

"While I will be honest and say that I am not the biggest fan of Harry Potter, I am fully able to recognize the character and series popularity and hardcore fan base. The movies are very entertaining and interesting, with good twists. I feel this book is simply a fan installment of a very successful series of novels."

"Harry Potter is not just only a series, it is a whole world that anyone can get immersed into. When I read Harry Potter for the first time, I was amazed at the magic. All of the different spells in the books bring such excitement and joy to the reader. When I think magic, I think Harry Potter."

"This book will be a tonal shift for some. What started as a fun with slightly dark ringed trip through magic and wonder has turned on its head. Instead of new magics and contrasts to typical school, you move on to the fight against the Evil and how it changes everything. If you are invested in the story and its characters, this is a wonderful book. If you enjoyed the theme and setting the earlier books provided, this is where you'll feel you'll want to jump ship. If you are the former, it gets better from here. If the latter, it might be best to move on."

"The Harry Potter series is much more popular with women than with men. Men enjoy it on some level, but the fact that it is written by a woman is an automatic downgrade."
  • Rajesh Chavan

"For best books by J.K. Rowling, I picked up Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix, without reading the first four books in the series. I was a bit lost. I don't know who the characters are, so this isn't just one of those books I could pick up and get going from the start. I can't tell if it's good or not without reading the first four books."
  • Karen Hopkins

"Personally my favourite book is the Goblet of Fire, but this one is a close second. You finally start to get a look at the darker/more intense history of the world, and you have some incredibly dramatic and heartbreaking scenes in this one."
  • Roy Obrien

"So I read this book on release and it's a solid choice, if you're a fan of Harry Potter. Obviously, this assumes you've read the other books in the series, but as long as you have it's a no brainier. "

"The Harry Potter series has come out with another book in its seven part set. With over 500 pages to read in this novel you will continue the adventure of Harry and his friends while they uncover the truth about Voldemort. The Order of The Phoenix will keep you hooked till the very last page."

This particular book like all in the series is great. The story is wonderful, the character developement is great, and plot will have you on the edge of your seat. Highly recomended!"

"During my childhood, the Harry Potter series was definitely one of my favorites. I have read the series at least five times. Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix has to be one of the best books of the 21st century. I thought this book was a lot deeper than a lot of people gave it credit for."

"This book lives up to the standards of the previous books in J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series. Harry and his friends are now in their fifth year at Hogwart's and they're becoming more mature. If you are a fan, you definitely don't want to miss this one! However, if you haven't read the first four books, I'd start with the first one and read them in order. It gets confusing otherwise, since this book deals with the fallout from previous installments. "

"All of the Harry Potter books are well worth reading. This one is probably so compelling because Harry is getting older and more thoughtful and the author is good at showing this age of bridging the gap between child and young adult. One of the wonderful things besides the magical universe of these books, is that Harry is so well-realized, so thoughtful and insightful and real. That is why there are as many adult fans of these books as there are child ones. "

"I think this is not as relevant a solution since the question looking for a solution is "books ABOUT the Harry Potter Universe", not a book in the series. I would instead choose books focused on the intricacies of the series, such as fan works or additional offerings by Rowling herself; or perhaps books on the similarities or differences between the movies and books. Either way, this is not a great solution to this person's inquiry."

"I love the Harry Potter books and movies. I enjoy the books a little more because they are more in-depth. This is definitely a book with a red-haired character and he's quite the charming young man. All characters are entertaining, fun loving and charming. They each have their own explicit character development and keep you engaged in the story throughout the book. The plots of the books are extremely interesting and fun as well. "

""Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix" is probably my favorite of the Harry Potter books! I loved reading about his escapades with Umbridge, and the surprise ending really got me! Definitely check this one out if you love fantasy!"

"Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix, like the other books in the series, is a fun mythological fantasy thrill ride in amazing setting. While there may be some illusion to romance, however, these books are much more about the power of friendship and good against evil, and much less about romance. Therefore I must rank them lower on this list."

I grew up reading these books in my childhood and can attest that this book is the best popular fantasy novel. This is the fifth book in the series, so you know it's popular when they keep making book after book and the fans keep demanding more."

"Harry Potter was always overrated. There's quite a lot of fans who will disagree with me on that front, but it is what it is. Hogwarts is boring. The wonderful wizarding world is just preposterous and ponderous and lacking in literary merit. This is hardly a must-read. It's not the worst thing ever - it's popular for a reason - but it is in many ways lowest-common-denominator for it. Just give this one a pass."

"If you've read the first four books of the Harry Potter series, you are in for a treat with the next installment. Everything up until the point has been building to Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix in which the students at Hogwarts become aware that Voldemort is coming back, and must prepare for his return. Harry and friends are the brink of adulthood, too. The book is full of suspense and tension on all fronts, and is the start of the progress toward the final climax of the series."
