"A friend read and loved the first Chicago Stars book, so when I saw this one I thought I would pick it up and see what all the fuss was about. It turns out I'm a fan now too! Working in the entertainment industry myself I always fantasied about an on-screen relationship turning real. Heaven, Texas really brings that to life with Gracie and Bobby's love story. A lot of fun to read!"

"The banter in this was amusing at times. With that being said, I don't think Heaven, Texas is the best example of a book with funny banter in it. "

"Heaven Texas is a steamy romance novel that is sure to delight."
  • Steven Carlson

"I started reading Heaven, Texas (Chicago Stars) thinking that it would be a comedic romance book. After getting to about halfway through I decided to stop reading it. I did not find this book funny at all, more like dull and boring."
  • Howard Washington

"Although rated well, it does not seem like this is the best solution for this. This is a well reviewed romance novel, but nothing in it's description seems to indicate or stress that it is a funny romance novel. "

"Romance stories are not really my thing but I am a huge football fan. I did enjoy the romance novel Heaven, Texas (Chicago Stars) even though I did not have high hopes for this novel. Susan Elizabeth Phillips did a really good job writing this book."
  • Ethan Ramos

"This is a story about a hell-raising boy who wants to turn the more prim-and-proper female character into a more rebellious youth. I did not enjoy the treatment of the female lead, but it certainly tells a compelling tale about innocence and what it means to hold onto it."
  • Jacqueline Morales

"If you are a fan of romance novels(as I am) Heaven, Texas (Chicago Stars) is a book that you should check out. This book follows the story of a sports star turned movie star and is sure to interest you if you are a fan of this genre."
  • Crystal Castro

"I was hoping for a story along the same lines as My Fair Lady but this didn't really fit the bill. The story is more about two people who are forced to work together and start off at odds but later fall in love. As part of the story, the jock tries to make over Gracie but his idea of a makeover isn't what most women would be interested in. It has some funny and sweet moments but I wouldn't classify it as a makeover story. "
  • Kyle Williamson

"I read many different genres of books and recently read Heaven, Texas (Chicago Stars). While I'm not the target demographic, I can see it appealing to girls who want to self insert as the heroine. It features a hot hero and an average looking heroine."
