"This is a pretty cute story about a Dragon who prefers his veggies over the standard meat. The story is good, I bought it to supplement our dragons eating tacos curriculum."

"I'm a bit confused because there are two versions of this book. In the edition we borrowed from our library, Herb is going to walk the plank. Our son loved the book so much we bought a copy for our home...but the edition we own talks about the executioner getting ready to behead Herb. The first version was pushing it, but the beheading is just not appropriate at all for young children. Otherwise, our son really loves this story but it it misses the boat a bit on promoting vegetarianism, since the meat-eaters still eat animals."

"I like that this book doesn't promote one belief over another. It teaches kids how to be tolerant of others' food choices, and others' beliefs as well. it's as simple as that."

"I bought this book for my niece and I was honestly a bit disappointed. I don't know if it's the art, which seems a bit garish to me, or the message which starts out okay but ends up being a bit wishy washy and confusing, especially for a child. If you're going to make a book about how it's great to be a vegetarian, run with it. Don't just end up saying that everything is cool as long as the meat eaters stop making fun of the vegetarians. That's a bit of a let down. But as it was, my niece still liked the book and apparently got something out of it regarding the fact that it's nice not to eat meat. It doesn't go much further than that, but I guess it's a start."

"Really liked reading this one to my kids! First of all, it's a pretty neat story, so it's kinda hard to get bored reading it out loud. Secondly, the art was...not masterclass or anything, but it was unique and cute enough to want to stare at for a while. "

"This book is used as a tool to force children to think in a certain way. Children should learn to live their lives how they want to, not be swayed by some funny looking drawings."
