- "This book is highly rated on Amazon by the people who read it. Most the stars are four or five for those people. I would not consider this a best book about Japan. This book is mainly focused on people who were at Hiroshima at the time of the bombing. This book is less about Japan and more about the tragedy that occurred there."
- "I think this solution is relevant, as the bombing of Hiroshima occurred during the final stages of WW2. Yet again, I don't feel that just covering this topic alone justifies one of the best WW2 books. It does have some pretty good reviews, but as a simple search, I was able to come up with better respected titles in regards to WW2. "
- "A highly emotional account of what happened when an atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima, Japan. Heartbreaking tales of the people and witnessed that injured horrible sufferings and their plight to survive. Unforgettable book that makes one wonder about human cruelty and what one is capable of doing to other fellow human being/s!"
