"I was actually drawn to Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick because of the interesting black and white cover. This is a very intense book that I could not put down. This novel had something for everyone in it. It is part of a paranormal series, but it is a thriller, romance and comedy all rolled in to one. This book is probably geared towards teens, since it is about high school kids, but as a young adult, I really enjoyed it!"

"I picked up Hush, Hush as a romance book with angels. The Fallen Angel plays a central role in this novel's plot, though the first half was extremely boring."

"A great romance for young adults, and I should know cause I'm a young adult. I really like that it is not boring, it is exciting, because there is a mystery involved. I also like that they seem like opposites and she has to think about whether she wants to do this, because that's something we all have to do, really. There is also a strong attraction, so it is very romantic."

"Ever since my mother died last year I've been really interested in the idea of guardian angels. I've had experiences where I think my mother was my guardian angel. I started collecting things in reading about everything related to this. After talking with my therapist about this new interest she suggested that I pick up this book, hush hush. I'm so glad I did this book evokes so many emotions. It made me laugh cry and smile."

"Terrible book. I could barely get through it. I hated Nora, she was just so angsty! I'm not sure what people are getting out of this book. We have enough books already about a smart but insecure girl and a guy with a questionable part. Twilight, anyone? Save your money, I say."

"I'm a big fan of angels and demons and all the mythology from the Bible, so much so that I have quite a discerning taste for books with this theme. I only have one issue and that is this book could have been something other than a romantically themed novel, but I'm not really complaining here--it's still a fun read."

This is a great fantasy romance novel suitable for YA readers, and this is well worth the time for any roughly high-school-aged reader. Buy it!"

"Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick deserves a solid 5 star rating! Just the prologue is intense enough to make me want to read the book in one sitting. I have heard nothing but great things about the Hush, Hush series from my library patrons. Nora and Vee are best friends in their sophomore year of high school. A new student, Patch, becomes Nora's desk partner in biology class. He is mysterious and stubborn and Nora finds him exasperating, but there is something about him that won't let Nora get Patch out of her mind. Strange things keep happening to her, causing her to be spooked and cautious. She meets Elliot, a new student and she believes he's hiding a sinister past. The mystery builds and, as Nora touches Patch's v-shaped scar on his back, she gets pulled into a vision. The danger and suspense become intense and Nora finally learns the truth about her past and Patch's. 5 stars for this engrossing supernatural story!"

"I personally love this book. It's a great thrilling, romantic, funny and everyone can relate to parts of it. Ok so I love to read. I've read 24 books this school year, and I've gotta say this is one of the best. This, Maximum Ride by James Paterson, The Kane Chronicles by Rick Riordan, and The Giver by Lois Lowry. So if your looking for a book with character, suspense, and drama, READ THIS BOOK."

"This is a story of good girl Nora and Patch, who has all the characteristics of the stereotypical bad boy. She can't help but fall for patch even though some of the experiences she has with him are terrifying. It's set in against an atmosphere that involves something much greater than Nora can handle and the story is gripping as Nora figures things out. "

"Hush, Hush is a great book to read when you're in the mood to get lost in the pages. The characters just draw you in and allow you to feel like you are part of the story. Nora Grey and Patch have an amazing dynamic that isn't found between characters in too many books. This is one you'll certainly want to pick up!"

"I have a confession to make: I'm in my 30s, and I just read this book that's made for young adults. A little embarrassing? Yes. But, I don't care. Hush, Hush was excellent. This would be my favorite book if I were still an emo little teenager! The author will really draw you in and keeps you engaged throughout the story. There's never a lull in the story, and you'll be kept guessing until the end, as this book is far from predictable."

"I picked up Hush, Hush as something to read on the side when I had my summer job at the front desk of the pool. At first I was a little skeptical of the content. The characters seemed rather immature, and I wasn’t sure if I could get into the plot well enough to finish the book. But man, am I glad I put in the effort and kept going. What starts out as a rather drawn-out YA Fiction book you’d see on any shelf turns into a supernatural, engrossing experience. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for some interesting fiction that’s not too heavy. "

"The name of the lead male character, Patch, should have been the first clue that I wouldn't like this book. It is full of cliches that makes me think it was written by a 14-year-old girl. I'm all for cheesy romances with mystery, but this is too much for me. "

"This wasn't what i was looking for. This was more of a fantasy romance type as opposed to the knight in shining armor theme i was looking for. The book itself was also not very compelling. Too fast paced and not fleshed out. "

"This was a pretty good book but it was probably aimed towards teenage girls. Still a pretty good read though, there's quite a bit of drama throughout the storyline and the thought does get pretty interesting towards the end. I think what makes the book interesting is that the main character is a girl chasing after the typical bad boy who turns out to be good in the end."

"If you love drama, the supernatural, and very annoying whiney teenagers you should read this book. I think I might be getting too old for this kind of fiction but after a friend told me it was one of the “best book” she had ever read I picked it up. It has a lot of the fun elements that hook you right away, but I couldn’t get over how much angst and inaction the main character took. "

"This is not the book if you are looking for something amusing for your teen reader. It is great if your teen enjoys horror mixed with romance. Definitely for the older teen. Sometimes it is fantastic to find the kids willing reading something, and this should go on the list."

"Being a huge fan of Young Adult Romance novels, I thought this book would be great for me. But I found this story rather derivate and predictable. It was the old romance formula that you can read in any halfway decent book. Its not a bad book exactly, just not great."

"Hush Hush is pretty good as far as romantic novels go. It introduces a mysterious/dark element to it that gets away from the over-the-top silliness of most romcoms. Patch's background is resolved nicely and satisfyingly by the end of the story."

"For Nora Grey, romance was not part of the plan. At least, not until Patch came along. With his easy smile and probing eyes, Nora is drawn to him against her better judgment. But after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora’s not sure who to trust—she can’t decide whether she should fall into Patch’s arms or run and hide from him. And when she tries to seek some answers, she finds herself near a truth more unsettling than any feeling Patch evokes. For Nora stands amid an ancient battle between the immortal and those who have fallen—and choosing the wrong side will cost her life"

"The Alex Awards were created to recognize that many teens enjoy and often prefer books written for adults, and Hush Hush fits to the description perfectly. Although it did not win the award, it is a great mystery&thriller book for teens. You should also take a look at the other books in the list if you like this book."

"We've all been there with an overprotective partner, so sometimes it's nice to read some fiction about a similar situation. "Hush Hush" fulfills that desire, but parts of it leave me wanting more. There's just a little left to be desired; it's entertaining for the moment, but lacks any serious undertones. Overall, not a bad choice, but there are far more fulfilling ones out there."

"Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick is a good book and gets a high rating for me! After I read the prologue I was pretty much riveted, hoping that it set the tone for the rest of the book.. in several book clubs, I have brought up the idea of reading hush to other members in my group. Nora and Vee are best friends in their sophomore year of high school. One day this guy named Patch becomes her new partner in high school and he is mysterious and foreboding which rivets Nora. but there is something about him that won't let Nora get Patch out of her mind. Strange things keep happening to her, causing her to be spooked and cautious. She meets Elliot, a new student and she believes hes seen some things and has had a shady past.. The mystery builds and, as Nora touches Patch's v-shaped scar on his back, she gets pulled into a vision.
