"I thought this was a pretty good book. It was filled with suspense and an interesting plot. The characters are likable, although I don't think there was a description of the leading lady. I liked the romance between the two characters and you can tell there was something more going on there. It was written well and kept me turning pages."

"This work of fiction looks to be well written, and even appears to have some decent realism involved, within the policework that is described. However, there are no vampires in this romance."

"I'm looking forward to reading more books in this series just because I love the interactions the main characters have with one another. The chemistry between them is entertaining and exciting, and even minor characters are well-rounded and interesting."

"Emma Jameson gives us the stories of a case hardened police officer in a series of Lord and Lady Hetheridge books. Jameson does a nice job of bringing her characters to life and leaves you with the impression that you were in London helping to solve the case. Nice, lightweight reading with some good twists."

  • Janet Gomez

"I loved this book, but it has nothing supernatural in it. This is more of a traditional murder/detective story with human players, but still a fun read."

"A great read, something that can be read in a short period of time and actually enjoyed. Many words used to really engage the reader. For myself, this is a great read right before bed to go to bed with intriguing thoughts. Mysteries are perfect!"
