"This book is both an interesting look at love and an interesting look at one man's attitude towards the emotion itself. The portrait made of Florentino is one of a man who never really learns to love and merely loves the idea of being in love. "

"This is a really great book. It follow two young lovers and the trials they go through. They are very much in love when they are young, but one decides to marry someone else and it is heartbreaking for the other. It is a really hard story to read at times, especially if you have ever had your heart broken. A really good read full of emotion."

"I love books, and I love the fact this one is set in the Caribbean! The author is definitely a native, you can tell in their prose how much they love the Caribbean."

"This romance absolutely tells a very impressive story, what happens in this book is very interesting and the characters are described very vividly, and love is seen in a very different point of view as majority of people do. Sometimes you may think the situations are happening in front of your eyes because they are described so vividly. I have had a qualitative time reading this book and i am sure that it will be the same for the majority of readers. "

"This is one of those classics that kind of deserves its status and kind of doesn't. It's a good read when I first saw it, but it doesn't hold up for a second read, so take that where you will."

"Love in the Time of Cholera is a great romantic novel with a unique premise. The plot includes heartbreak, romance, and twists that will keep you turning the page. The characters experience tragedy and hardship and a lot can be learned from their personal experiences as well as the historical context in which they happen. I would categorize it as one of the best romance novels I've ever read."
