"I bought this book thinking it would be about drug addiction. This book has absouletly nothing to do with drug addiction. It is about a dystopian society and a woman's struggle in it. "

"When wanting a book with green covers, the YA novel Matched is considered a very good novel. It was actually the cover that attracted me to this book in the first place. It focuses on a young girl in a dystopian world and her fight for her freedom to choose. I look forward to reading the rest of the series."

"Matched was a book that I picked up expecting romance elements tied in a post-apocalyptic setting. I was not ready for the journey that this book would take me on though. I really connected with the elements of this story and it helped me to get through a tough time in my life after a breakup."

"The world was developed nicely however led you to no emotional tie. I guess this was intended since the society is so cold and calculating. I get it had to be created this way but still... it seemed so flat. The pacing was slow. I didn't find myself really intrigued or connected until I was about 70% of the way through. The character development could have used a lot of work. Cassia seemed very flat and I didn't feel any sort of connection to her at all until almost the end of the story. Again, this may have been intentional because she was so molded and brainwashed by her society, however I would have liked to see more action, more outward fight as opposed to all internal fight or at the least, way more curiosity."

"I love the dystopian/utopian novels coming out lately for young aduls, and this series doesn't disappoint. The best dystopian novels have some reflection of our current society, and Matched is chillingly realistic."

"I would say the Matched is an interesting read. I think Matched is indeed the best dystopian fiction novel for all. I would recommend this must-read, page turner to the young and old."

"If you like "The Handmaidens Tale",you will like this book. When young women are taught the government should make all of life's most important decisions....It can shattering to find out otherwise."

"Matched is a book about the society that controls the lives of citizens. Cassia trusts this thing that controls their lives and when it flashes Zander as her ideal partner on her app she things it is right. But then she Ky's picture for a brief moment. She falls in love with Ky and begins to think the society is wrong. Could be an interesting read for a young person."

"I picked this up from my library because it looked interesting. It starts a bit slow, but it gradually picks up and started to hold my interest. Although there are still random parts that are duller than others, I got through them quickly enough. Out of all of the characters, I felt the most connection with Ky. I really wish there was more on his background. He seemed to be the most... human. Likely because he was raised outside of the system. For a lot of the book, I found myself frustrated over the system. It connects you to your match based on what is most beneficial to the community, kills old people after a certain age, and the list goes on. Typical things you'll find in a Dystopian. I was most curious to see what was going to happen with the situation between Ky and Xander."

"Good book, wasn't what I was expecting. I usually ready motocross books and this is nothing like it. But it wasn't bad and I think people who usually read these types of books will love it."

"This looks to be great for a young adult age range. The content of the plot also seems to focus on a story similar in tone and direction to The Hunger Games books, set in a similarly dystopian future society. User reviews are very positive, and it appears to be an extremely popular pick as well."

"This definitely captures the dystopian style, but I wouldn't say it's one of the best. There leaves a lot to be desired in the writing, and the ending is meh."

"Matched gets praised for its "unique" premise, but it honestly isn't that unique. Any fan of Black Mirror knows where this story is going, and so did I. I didn't really buy into the plot, and the romance angle never quite worked. So, frankly, I recommend passing on this one - there are better books to read with your time."

"Matched is one of my favorite books by Ally Condie, there is so much detail in her novels that I enjoy them even on my second or third read throughs. I would like to see some more cover art with more of the characters but the book itself is good."

"Was looking for a good dystopian series with romance on par with The Hunger Games and Divergent series. This book had all the right plot themes but I just wasn't completely in tune with all the characters. I don't think it is a bad book but it fell a little flat to me and just needed some more emotion and feeling in the character interactions for me."

"The best Dystopian fiction of all time is Matched by Ally Condie. The story focuses on a regimented society where all important life decisions such as your lover, work and date of death are all decided for you. When Cassia is matched with her lover, for a brief moment another face is shown to her and that's all that is needed to cause her to doubt and question everything about her life and society."

"The new society created in this world was rather dull. Everything is incredibly strict and the people are cold. The romance portion of this story was the only color on this dull, black and white novel."

"If your looking for a not-so-regular romance novel this book hits the spot. I decided to pick it up after a friend in my book club suggested it. Glad i did. Romance , fantasy , drama. This book has it all. "

"In this dark novel, you have no free will. Everything is decided for you. Matched is a book that is definitely worth being made into a movie. It is an updated version of the Orwellian vision of society. With all of the surveillance that is going on currently, this dystopian future was easy to imagine. Matched reminds me of an episode of Black Mirror. This is a must read! "
