"Who writes these stories? Who wants to read a story about a young Medusa? Medusa should scare the shit out of you, not inspire you to be something you're not!"

"Medusa the Mean is quite a ridiculous book. It's like when Medusa goes to high school. In middle school, I could understand about mythology in a mature manner. The more advanced middle school students will be put off by the nonacademic nature."

"My daughter loves the whole Goddess Girl series this book comes from. I used to read this to her and she still reads it on her own now that she's older."

"I’ve always been a fan of the Greek Gods and the stories that accompany them. When I saw this book for my daughter I picked it up hoping it would get her interested as well. I was very happy when she latched on to this one and couldn’t put it down. They made the illustrations fun and the stories approachable for this generation. "

"I absolutely love greek mythology so this book was right down my alley. I read it last year to our daughter while we were vacationing in the Bahamas so I could put her to sleep. The main character is modeled after the famous Medusa and her life in a training academy of the gods."

"This blends a lot of cuteness with Greek mythology and does it well. It's a fun story that all kids would love. They can learn and have fun reading at the same time and you can't ask for much more than that."

"I absolutely LOVE the Goddess Girl series. As a lifelong fan of both mythology and children's literature, I started the series before I knew I was pregnant with my daughter. After she was born, I started over with book 1 and read them aloud at her bedtime. I just know she will enjoy the set on her own when she gets older. That being said, Medusa the Mean doesn't disappoint. The authors do a wonderful job detailing exactly why Medusa is so mean and why she does and says the things she does. But I must stop with that because I don't want to give any spoilers."
