"Moby Dick is one of the best naval books I have read in my lifetime. Not for everyone, but if you have read the original you will enjoy the illustrated version. "

"One of the must-read books for 2018 according to Esquire is Moby Dick but I will go a bit further. It is a MUST read in any year if you haven't read it. I first read this in high school and fell in love with the story. I have read it three times in the 25 years that I have been out of school. I just love going back into the story because it's one of my all-time favorites. "

"Moby Dick is a public domain work because of the age of the book. Anyone charging for it is ripping people off. The book is a classic and worthy of much praise."

"This is a total classic. Although not the best, but it's a good story for free. Also so many people have read it so there's a conservation for small talk. "

"Moby Dick is widely considered an American classic. It's a book rich in symbolism, with many hidden or obscured elements that might not be apparent on the first read. The book itself is rather good, though maybe just a bit overrated, I would say. Apparently it is offered for free here, though it seems to me like it least costs a token sum, from what I can see. There's probably somewhere to obtain it for free. "

"Maybe this book is good for some people but I didn't like it at all. It literally put me to sleep. I found that the writing itself was needlessly complicated and wordy and I couldn't relate to any of the characters at all. This book may be regarded as a classic, but there are so many other, better novels out there than to waste your time on this one."

"Moby Dick is a classic tale. However, I don't think it would fit for recommended for men by Esquire. Moby Dick is more of a college student type of book."

"Moby Dick is simply a classic and one of the most read books in America. While the book provides the minutiae of whaling in the first few chapters, you would be ill-prepared for the later chase which builds upon that knowledge to present a faster-paced account. Overall it builds a depth to the narrative that absorbs all the more intently as the book progresses."

"I read this in high school english class and it became such a favorite of mine that I've re-read it multiple times since. The story is relatable on all levels; every person has that "whale" that they're chasing in life, and I think that accounts for at least a portion of its widespread appeal. Truly a story for all ages. "

"One of the best books that inspired Black Sails TV series would definitely be Moby Dick. It is a classic tale about a journey on a ship that follows a fascinating story. I really enjoyed Moby Dick and fondly remember reading the book when I was younger and I would really recommend it if you're looking for something similar. "

"Moby Dick is considered a classic in literature. It can be a long read for someone who isn't open to the message. It shows us that while our dreams may be elusive, they can be all-consuming if you want them badly enough. It is a great story to be read if you take the time to find the message."
