What the community says about North of Beautiful
- "Fixing things that are broken or flawed is not so easily done; but when you're on the outside looking in, it everything is simple. Terra has come to tolerate the thing that keeps her from reaching her independence. Being self absorbed is not the way she would describe herself, but is she's hiding behind a scarred mask?"
- "North of Beautiful was a present from one of my book buddies he didn't tell me anything about it, but the guy usually has great taste in books. I can definitely say that I wouldn't have picked this up if it hadn't been for him....but boy, am I glad I did! This book was fantastic! The writing was so perfect, I just enjoyed how the story was told, I could not stop reading this book. The words were addicting. The characters were so well developed. And it’s such a thought provoking topic. Beauty. You can’t get much more complex, so many times authors get it wrong, but this story totally blew me away. "
- "The heroine of the book, Terra, lives with a verbally abusive father and this just compounds all the problems in her life. She was born with a very noticeable birthmark on her face and through surgeries, it has not gotten any better. This book is beautifully written and finds a way to grab your heart as you cheer for Terra to finally have a nice life. I didn't really get the geocaching element of the book though."
