"I have seen the excellent movie that was based on this title, and if the original book is half is good, then it is well-worth reading. As this title takes place in a mental facility, it is full of colorful characters with an array of problems."

"K is for Kesey! There's a decent chance you've already seen the movie, which is also a classic, but the novel is far more rewarding to take in, if you ask me. Kesey's writing is great, and he tells more than you could possibly fit in a film adaptation. If you somehow have NOT seen the movie, read the book first. Either way, read the book. "

"If someone is looking to read about mentally ill people/characters, I think that the book, “One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest, is a classic novel that can give some insight into mentally ill people, because it is about a man who enters a mental hospital and takes over it by rallying other patients around him by testing the tyranny of a nurse. You learn about the tyrannical Nurse Ratched and McMurphy. I must have read One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest a dozen times. Each time it is just that much more interesting than the last. "The classic One Flee Over the Cuckoo's Nest is Ken Kesey's finest piece of ecclectic 1960"s literature. The character's thay co-havitate in a psychiayric institution will have you laughing, crying, and especially wondering at the shocking end to the story, reminiscent of psychiatric reality of decades gone by."

"This is a historical masterpiece. It's an unforgettable story of a mental ward and the people who live there. Kesey did an amazing job on this book and I have already read it twice. If you are a serious reader, then this book is a must-read. There is a bit of craziness found within its cover, but it is powerful story that will leave you in deep thought."

"One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest is a very special book to me. It is a rare piece of literature which sheds light on the lives of people with mental illnesses living in a mental health facility. Their story isn't used to scare readers, but to entertain and even teach people what life is like in a mental hospital."

"I never understood this book title. It changed course of history by having where we can change things and it's a good book assigned in high schools. If we are supposed to analyze the title I never really got it or figured out why it was called that. Is it just because of the institution ideas?"

"Another high school English curriculum classic. Chances are that you were required to read this like I was at some point in high school. There's a reason for that, it's a freakin' literary classic. With such an original concept, it is difficult to not get emotionally invested. McMurphy is a man's man and you will definitely be rooting for him along with the other patients."

"This is a really great American classic. Most people are familiar with the film but the book is undeniably better. Even though it was written in the 1960's, it still holds up because the characters are just so well written and easy to relate to. I picked it up and couldn't put it down. I can't recommend this book to anyone enough."

"This novel is a classic! The story takes so many crazy turns that only a setting like a mental hospital can provide. I love diving in to the complexities of the human mind and I also love hospital dramas! "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest has it all! This novel definitely had me staying up a few minutes extra every night to try to uncover the next crazy event in the story. Not so great for me in the mornings heading off to work though! This novel is well worth your time if you like stories involving mental hospitals."

"This is definitely a funny title. However, I think the book, How to raise your IQ Eating Gifted Children is an even funnier one. The title does not even make sense and when correlating with the actual plot and meaning in the book, it is just a funny title. "

"I first read this book back in my fifth period high school class as a English requirement. I hardly remembered what the book was about so I decided to pick it up and start it again to see why it’s recommended for high schoolers. After finishing the book for the forth time this year I am surprised to say that it is still one of my favorites to date."
