What the community says about Owl Moon
- "Usually don't like picture books, but I have an owl that hoots a bit just outside my window every so often. So I decided to pick this up and read it to my nephew, knowing the owl would start. Just thought I'd share that, but Owl Moon didn't really need anything extra. It's beautifully written, there's a lovely picture that accompanies just about each page of text. Just a great book to keep when your children ask for bedtime story.""When I read owl moon, it makes me want to be like the girl in the book. To go owling would be cool, along with bonding with her dad, which makes the plot of the book really sweet. I love the illustrations and how the book sort of teaches kids to listen instead of talk. Cute book."
- "I was looking for a book for my daughter that would really illustrate our love for nature when I found Owl Moon. It is from 1987 but my daughter still enjoyed the picture book. The pictures are gorgeous and the story is beautiful but interesting enough to keep children's attention."
- "If you like stories about the moon, or cows jumping over the moon, or little men who live in the moon, then you will love Owl Moon. It is a beautifully story written by Jane Yolen that is wonderfully illustrated by John Schoenherr. Childern of all ages will love to listen to the story and get lost in the pictures"
