"If you love damsel in the distress books and are out of books to read this one isn't the worst that you can read. There is a long list of better books but if you have read those this is okay I guess. "

"Play it Safe is a newer book that has caught my interest. Its a great time killer and the storyline is unique compared to other Kristen Ashley books."

"This is a good looking romance novel from a fairly prolific author. It's highly rated, so it's likely someone's favorite romance novel. Again, I don't know romance novels, so I can't speak to the quality personally, but the amount of good reviews does a good job pointing toward the quality of the book."

"Another book that seems to be run of the mill in romance novels with a been there done that setting. This book has a fairly good acceptance for those who just can't get enough imaginary romance in their lives."

"This book is ok for the price and if you want an easy romance read with a country setting but it's really at the pretty low end for this genre. I think you could find something better to read but for the price with this setting maybe put it at the end of your reading list. "

"I would try it out. The title of the book looks interesting. The cover of the book (a horse) doesn't seem to have much to do with the story line."

"Romance reminds us of something important to most people. Play it safe is a take on a more modern love story."

"so this is my first Kristen Ashely and will most likely be my last. This book at only around 500 pages has been an actual chore to get through. I actually liked the female protagonist to a point, but found the other characters grating, unrealistic and over bearing. This girl just traded one controlling dominant male who wouldn't put her first (Casey, her brother) for another (Grayson). I never got that either person (or Grayson's seriously annoying and terrible family, that I suppose you were supposed to find charming) ever saw her as much more than a possession to be used at will. I think the icing on the cake was when Grayson and his grandmother got in a fight over getting her haircut. Neither pointed out that she is a grown woman capable of making her own decisions but fought over who had control over her. Some people might find this type of "ownership" cute, but I do not."
