"The quintessential British novel, Pride and Prejudice is a novel of manners. It's interesting to read about what life was life in 19th century England as the background to what is ultimately a love story."

"This book is definitely a good read about family relationships but does not correspond with the world in which we live today. I read this book a while ago, and even though it is an excellent book with great lessons to be learned, I had a hard time relating to the characters in the book. But I overthink everything, it's an interesting read and it does have a lot of lessons to be learned about family relationships but has a lot of undertones of a time in America in which a lot of people didn't have basic human rights."

"Pride and Prejudice is everyone's go-to novel for classical stories set at the height of British culture. Personally I was never that impressed with this or any of Jane Austen's other works, but I think they're worth reading merely for the impact they've had on our culture, and for anyone who's interested in the setting."

"I enjoy reading and wanted to find some good free books. I found Pride and Prejudice on Amazon, which is a free ebook. I gave it a try and hated it. It was incredibly boring. No wonder it was free. The typesetting is terrible, too. There are hyphens were there don't need to be any and many pages are just half pages for no reason. I do not recommend this book at all."

"Theres some good free books on amazon, and if you are into classics, why not pride and prejudice? Sure, its a bit wordy, but it has alot of say about history and morality, and its a good reflection of just how far society has come in the last few centuries. Pick it up if you are looking for a good historical read."

"Pride and Prejudice is a classic, and a good, enjoyable read f you like historical books, books about relationships and family, romance, and subtlety. You will enjoy all of the interactions and observations that the books heroine Elizabeth, wittily makes, and her observations on the absurdity of the manners required at the time, and the pan that they can cause are also worthy of reading and reflecting on. How far our society has come, and changed, since Elizabeth's time."

"After watching the 1996 series by BBC, I decided to check out the original novel and WOOOW it's even better than I expected. It's so much more than a simple love story. It comments on so many aspects of society like women's rights and class division. It's easy to write off books by women as nothing but romantic drivel, but Pride and Prejudice has a lot more to offer."

"Romance Books is a very broad subject. The solution of Pride and Prejudice provided only a single named book as opposed to bringing me to a wider selection of a collection of Romance books. In addition the solution link brought me to specifically the Kindle book for Pride and Prejudice. I do not have a kindle. Although fortunately the site through Amazon also had other purchase options for hardcover and paperback, I still am of the opinion that a solution would have been better to be an overall collection of Romance books instead of a single title. "Pride and Prejudice is the best book. It has strong Female characters which we do not see still in books and movies to this day. The way Jane Austen writes is incredible and this book is almost impossible to put down once you start reading. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a romance novel and also someone looking for a book that has a strong Female character in it. You become enthrawled in this book following Elizabeth in her journey. "

"Pride and Prejudice most certainly belongs on a list of best British and Irish literary works. Quite hard to choose who would be first. Certainly dated, the plot revolving around finding husbands for unwed sisters, but it's a well written book for it's time and shows how the main sister, Elizabeth, finds her way in society."

"in my opinion, this is one of the loveliest books ever written. I first read it in elementary school and it completely transformed my perceptions of adult relationships. In particular, it taught me not to judge people based on first impressions, which I think is a valuable lesson to pass on to young adults. The complex sentence structure might be a challenge for some, but overall, I'd highly recommend this to teenagers. The classics are classics for a reason."

""Pride and Prejudice" is an absolute classic. It takes place in the early 19th century. The characters may come off arrogant and egotistical as you explore the social world around them. About halfway through the book, I decided I had to know how it all ended. So, if you feel skeptical like me, give it a chance to see if you get hooked."

"My class had to read this in high school. I recall the language being difficult to get past, and some of the plot elements had me confused, especially in regard to social standards. Fast forward ten years, and I won a series of books published by Penguin Classic, including Pride and Prejudice. Since I knew this was a classic, I tried reading it again - and it was good! Perhaps the first readthrough when I was younger was a practice run for me, or maybe it was because I didn't need to analyze every chapter or character intention, but this time I was able to understand it better. Instead of struggling with understanding every detail, I was able to just read it and let it sink in. There were still a couple passages that I had to re-read to be able to better understand them, but overall I'm glad that I decided to take the time and try reading this again."
