What the community says about Saint (The Paradise Novels)
- "I enjoyed this book. It has some super-hero stuff mixed in with your normal spy world assassin run amok kind of thrills. A good read. "
- "I was a little disappointed with "Saint." The book actually started out very strong and was an intense reading, but sort of trailed off throughout the rest of the book. The battle that the main character, Carl, has with himself is intriguing and I believe most of us can relate to a similar period in our lives when we were battling with our own identity. Maybe it's just me, but I felt the ending was sort of a letdown, sort of just an easy way to end the book. All in all, a nice read for a rainy afternoon with nothing else to do."

in What are the best thriller books"I really enjoyed this book. Do keep in mind even though the story is a bit of a thriller, it also has strong supernatural themes to it. For me, this was a welcomed bonus, but I understand some people may not be looking for a supernatural themed story. The characters in the story do evolve and grow over its course, and I find myself pretty attached to them near the end. The story also ties into other books by Ted Dekker, and takes place in the same universe. I find this to be a really enjoyable thing, as it contributes to the overall bigger picture and world that Ted Dekker builds through his writing. Reading this one book will make you want to read other books by him, too."
- "I decided to give the novel "Saint" (The Paradise Novels) a try given that I typically enjoy books from Ted Dekker. Dekker's books are usually good mystery and crime themed books and this one is no exception. My only issue with it is that it seemed to lose momentum after getting to the half-way point. The story starts out swimmingly well but it starts to fall apart by the third act and it never really provides a satisfying conclusion. If you're a fan of his other books in the "series" I'd recommend it but if not I would probably steer clear of this one to perfectly honest."
