""Sleeping Beauty, Indeed & Other Lesbian Fairytales" is a desperate attempt to create something for LGBT community and the problem is that the book is trying to use the recognition and the market capitalization of the well known intellectual properties without standing on its own as an independent work with the substance. "

"This book is a compelling read. It will have you reading it over and over again. The stories in there are unique in many ways. When it comes to the appeal to lesbians, it goes a long ways. It gets away from the more salacious and trashy books. This book is more wholesome and goes with the whole theme of the fairy tales that we grew up with. "

"first encounter with this sort of change to classics, looks interesting"

"I didn't think that the writing was very well thought out and I think that though it appeals to a certain demographic the writer needs to be more focused on character development. I can't really connect with the characters and also I found that this genre overall wasn't really for me."

"My partner and I were looking for stories to read to our daughter to help teach her about the differences that exist in the world and that all kinds of people share the same struggles as one another. While the sleeping beauty theme was perfect, we had to avoid some of the fantasy romance. We also would have liked just one story. However, we are going to keep these in mind for when she gets a little older!"

"I love twists on classic fairytales. This book reminds me of silly stories that I would make up while playing with Barbie dolls as a kid, before I really understood the implications. Overall this is a very fun read. "

"If you're into such classics as Cinderella, you'll love this story. It retells many of the classic stories that we all grew up with, but from an erotic lesbian perspective. I especially liked the retelling of the Pied Piper. A very unique twist on the stories we're all familiar with!"

"If you like to read and are part of the LBGT community, then "Sleeping Beauty, Indeed & other Lesbian Fairytales" is a book you should get. This book is intertaining and has some great stories. The fairytales are blended in a very smooth way that relate to the reader. I recommend this book, you will not be disappointed."

"This collection of folktales was enjoyable. Most of the folktales are reimagined tales with lesbian characters. I think it's important to have greater representation of non-heteronormative relationships in literature. While it would have been desirable to have more original content, this book made me smile because I know how important it is for lesbian women to see themselves reflected in the world of fantasy. "
