"Fantastic book for teens. It has a good teaching messages. However it is wrapped in entertainment and situations that teens can connect with. "

"This is the classic city girl moves to country and is a fish out of water story. It's innocent enough and appropriate for teens, although older teens will think it's stupid. "

"This book is cheap and helps to fill out my Teen's bookshelf. They said they really enjoyed it. "

"Not sure I would call it a must-read for that age group, but it is a good book for late elementary students who are just getting into chapter books. "

"I along with many of my friends have parents that are seperated or blended. I feel as if the older generations don't quite understand the effects have on children and can be dismissive of our issues. This novel was amazing. Along with the scary accuracy she portrays a teen of our generation, it was enjoyable and not being a reader it was crazy how much time I spent binge reading this book. I finished in a few days and was actually a bit sad. It did help me reflect and realize some issues I have with my own situation and has definitely helped me."

"This book certainly helped me through some tough times. I was 17 and my parents had recently gotten divorced. My father quickly remarried within 4 months and our relationship has never been the same since. I was able to put myself in the shoes of the protagonist better than any other book I've read to this date. If you've ever had a troublesome step-parent or know someone who has, I can't recommend this book enough. It helped me process through the difficult emotions I was feeling at the time and particularly resonated with me. I can only hope Bella is doing as well as I am; she taught me so much."

"If you have a teen and want to get them a book they can possibly relate to, So Not Happening (The Charmed Life) might be a good pick. It deals with the struggles of moving to different towns and the separation of parents. If these are relatable, I highly recommend the book."

"I decided to read the first novel in Jenny B. Jones' acclaimed young-adult series, The Charmed Life, after reading two of her adult novels. Although there are teenage elements to the plot, I found the novel very enjoyable and relatable. Bella Kirkwood is a self-centered and somewhat spoiled girl at the beginning of the novel, but she has a good heart which makes her likable. Over the course of the novel, Bella re-evaluates her priorities, while maintaining her wit and humor. "

"Just your average teenage girl book. At least this one isn't about vampires. They sure haven't evolved much over the years, at this point you may as well just reach into a bin and grab one because they are all exactly the same, meh at best. "

"A great read for almost any female teenager in search of a good book to get lost in. I imagine it would be easy to immerse your teenage self into this story completely and not come up for air until the last page."
