"I needed to read a historical fiction for a class I am taking, so I checked out this story about WWI. The story itself is pretty good, although it is a little heavy on the romance plot. I wish there were a little more balance between the romance and the war."

"While I enjoy the elegance Elizabeth possesses, I found the rest of the story quite boring. There isn't really anything here I haven't read many times before. It's not a bad book, and I was happy to regift it, but it didn't really resonate with me."

"Looks like a good book however, it seems to be based around working war heroes as opposed to those born into the royalty category "

"If you like romance novels as much as I do, this one is fantastic! Detailed and involving character development in a historical setting. Twists and turns and redemption in a great story by a great romance author. "

"I have a teenage daughter that loves two things, romance and reading. I was hoping to blend the two together for her birthday this year, so I came here looking for the best romance books for teens. I was told to try Somewhere in France. My daughter absolutely loved it. I couldn't have made a better choice. "

"This book was very, very light shallow reading - cliche romance and plot. Also, it seems to be a bad imitation of Downton Abbey. There are many books that do life in this period so much better."

"It's pretty light, kind of boring to me. I didn't care for the setting. It's a little dry and I couldn't believe the characters were real. "

"This is a great pick for any young reader that enjoys romance. I love all books with a historical setting and the love story is somewhat reminiscent of what one would find when watching Downtown Abby. It is a lovely read and a book that you can't help but put down until you know how it ends. "

"if your looking for a retro inspired romance novel you can't go further than this. This is a great book by a great author "
