"It was a nice book and good to read. This a very interesting and informative book about the Mormons and the early formation of this religion group. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to know a little more about polygamy and how it worked or didn't work and why the Mormon church decided to abandon this practice.Gives you great insight into polygamy and it's effect on women."

"Absolutely fascinating book about Mormonism and life in Utah. I think in America, sometimes we have no idea how different the landscape is in other parts of the country. This book really brought Utah to life for me, I could picture it vividly in my head."

"I am not one of the people who would confidently say that I am familiar with these types of books, but I am very well open minded and have a read for myself just to see what the fuzz is all about. Judging by the positive reviews, I am sure enough to say that this book is worthy as one of the best for its category."

"I was engrossed in this book from start to finish, it's a mixture of news stories and biographies but it's worth the read. Very good book."

"There’s a bit of time travel going on in this book, what with the historical wife of Brigham Young, and the modern day story about a young man dealing with fundamentalism. It doesn’t work completely but the failure is one of trying too much. But it’s still an enjoyable book about the topic of polygamy."

"The 19th Wife is a historical fiction novel about Ann Eliza Young. It is filled with drama and adventure as this woman navigates life struggles. It shows her romantic life in a new light. It has a very romantic undertone that will leave you in suspense as you read through the pages."

"From the title alone, you can guess that this book is about Mormons. The author understands the church but clearly does not like it. The writing is poor quality. Shameful book."
  • Gerald Douglas

"This books takes some Mormon history and historical figures and mixes it with a modern-day fictionalized account of plural wives and murder. A bit too weird even for my tastes in fiction."
