"Reminds me of the Goosebumps series. Has the feel of a book that you want to read through and read anything remaining in the series. One that i would get into and finish in an evening if i set myself to it."

"The Doll in the Garden is a novel that's been around for awhile, but the story still gives the kids the goose bumps. It draws you in and keeps you on the edge of your seat. It's one of the best children's ghost story books I've come across."

"The Doll in the Garden will most middle school aged entertained. It's a bit of a haunting tale but does not go too far. This book mixes friendship, love, grief, and death all into a single manageable and very readable book. "

"I read some stories of ghosts of Mary Downing Hahn and almost always have a great suspense, I have always terrified these dolls of porcelain, unfortunately in this story does not focus on this issue."

"Reminiscent of Frances Hodge Burnett's The Secret Garden, this book is a fascinating reading adventure mostly for young girls, complete with talking dolls and mysterious white cats. Question: who told Ashley not to go to that location in the garden, and why? Follow the mystery with Ashley and learn about the beautiful doll and the white cat."

"Kind of reminds me of Alice in Wonderland a bit. Fun read for most kids but definitely not intended for adults in my opinion."

"There are mostly positive reviews with almost no negative ones. I found this book to be very scary and I became scared at the right times throughout the story. I would recommend this story to people who enjoy horror books."
