"While most of Stephen King's non-strictly-horror works have been lackluster, The Eyes of the Dragon is one of the few exception. Well written, and just as captivating as his other bestsellers, this book makes me wish he had kept up with fantasy adventure."

"I don't normally read really old books, but Stephen King is an exception. This is one of his lesser known works but it still features some of his most excellent writing. It's as pure of a fantasy book as you can get, which I found interesting. "

"One of Stephen Kings best books in my opinion. What I can add is that it is not for the faint hearted. It is very graphic and dark, but very enjoyable. "

"As someone who likes Stephen King but not horror, this was right up my ally. While there is a bit of horror here, it is way more of a fantasy novel."

"It seems like you don't find a ton of standalone fantasy books these days, and this one's not new by any stretch of the imagination, but nonetheless it's highly enjoyable and tightly plotted. Because it's Stephen King it tends to drag a bit in parts and the ending is just okay, but it's still definitely worth it."

"For young adults, The Eyes of the Dragon is a good horror book written by Stephen King. Relating to the king of Delain, it's quite detailed and interesting overall. Might be a little too intense for younger readers though."

"I think this is a pretty good choice, considering my query. There are likely better-suited books for teens, but King is always a classic author to read at that age when you're just starting to feel "edgy". "

"Since I first found it in the back of the stacks at the dusty old library in Daleatha, Wyoming, I've read it at least 20 times. Flagg makes an almost whimsical appearance here, and Colin sets off to find the Gunslinger later in the Dark Tower. But, despite the connections to King's larger world, it's a stand alone fairy tale that's oddly nostalgic."
