"I think The Great Divorce is one of the best Catholic fictional books that I have read. It was a super easy read and kept me entertained the whole way through. C.S. Lewis tells a great story. "

"I first read this book as part of our church's book club series. I found it rather difficult to understand at times, even with the interpretations of other members in the book club. Sometimes is seems fantastical, other times it reads like a theology book. I found the creativity of what Heaven and Hell is like, to be refreshing, yet caused more curiosity than traditional perceptions of Heaven and Hell (right and wrong)."

"DO NOT READ! The book is wonderful, don't get me wrong on that... by that I mean CS Lewis' story. This version though as absolute trash - poorly edited and the typesetting is a joke. Waste of money!"

"The Great Divorce by C.S. Lewis is quite the strange book. It is an allegory for heaven and hell but the way it is framed is marvelous."

"If you are curious about heaven and hell and all in between this is a must read. This book is for all ages and sure to envoke supernatural thoughts. C.S. Lewis communicates deep spiritual truths."

  • Jane Phillips

"C.S. Lewis is such an amazing author. I don't think this is the book I'd recommend first to new Christians but it is definitely a worthwhile read."
  • Michael Baker

"I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this book. I got it after reading one of the Narnia books and finished it off in an afternoon, but I think the lessons I learned from it will stick with me for much longer. It makes me want to explore Christianity a little further... and as a lifelong agnostic, this was probably the greatest surprise of all."

"The Great Divorce is a heavy allegory. It's a deeply religious book. I don't know if everyone will appreciate it unless they know that up front."
  • Harold Ramos

"I am very into religion, especially the heaven and hell concepts. I loved this book as it gave me a new way of thinking about them."
