"I really enjoyed The Last Council from the Amulet #4 series. In this book Emily travels to Cielis for help but the cloud city is quite unusual and provides a very interesting story. I think this series makes a great gift if you know anyone who likes books about children with special powers. "

"I was looking for a birthday gift for one of my nephews. They were into fantasy stuff, so I thought I would them this to read. They said to me they liked it. His parents were impressed by how quickly he read through it. He now waits for the next volume in the series."

"The Last Council (Amulet #4) is a wonderful graphic novel for children. I love that it has a female protagonist. It’s part of a series and I recommend it for children ages 8-12. "

"The best book that every eight year old should read is The Last Council (Amulet #4). It is about a young girl named Emily and her friends who visit the cloud city of Cielis to seek out help. "

"My daughter is 12. She started reading graphic novels earlier in the year. This is her favorite series. It has been passed to friends and cousins. Everyone loves the Amulet books! The Last Council (Amulet #4),I haven't read it, but my daughter says it's one of the best series she's read. Each time she gets one of the Amulet books she devours it hours. Which brings me to the one problem I have here: she devours it in HOURS. We get home at five, I open the Amazon box and hand her a new book, she immediately squees and runs to the recliner, and then she starts to read and she doesn't stop until she's done"

"The Amulet series is a set of graphic novels with very little text, which makes it great for young readers who want the length and commitment of a series but can't handle intense reading. The story isn't anything revolutionary, but it holds a child's interest and has elements of both fantasy and sci-fi."

"The books look intriguing, especially for the targeted age range. My daughter is nine, and I'm definite this would excite her - and the present reviews seem to indicate the same!"

"This book is pretty great, and the art inside is also fantastic. I personally love fantasy novels, and this book was a nice surprise. It is probably targeted at younger people, but it was still a pleasure for an adult to read."

"One of the best books for nine-year old children is The Last Council (Amulet #4) by Kazu Kibuishi. It is a fantastical tale about a girl named Emily and her friends who went to the cloud city of Cielis seeking help. "

"My daughter (12) loved this comic! It's about a friend in the city of Cielis in the sky. I'd recommend it in print though, it does pop more in hand than on screen."

"This book was exactly what I was looking for to help my fifth grader transition into middle school. Very well written and thought out."
  • Ralph Nichols

"My niece loves reading, so I bought her this book. I thought it might have been a bit too hard for her, but she read it all and loved it. She's 11."
