"The Last Unicorn is near the top of any list of best classic fantasy books. The tale though a well-worn trope of journeying is told extremely well by Beagle. "

"While I loved Peter Beagle’s charming tale of Molly, Schmendrick and the Unicorn as a child, I believe I might have been mislead by a page that listed this story among a long list of books featuringRobin Hood. The book is a delightful yarn full of vivid characters, but the emerald archer is not among them, and I wish whomever added this story to Robin Hood book lists would be more careful! Rating 2.5 because it was such a good book, but it really doesn’t deliver the Prince of Thieves at all!"

"The Last Unicorn is one of the true classics of fantasy. It's 50 years old but is just as relevant as Tolkien's the Lord of the Rings, Ursula Le Guin's Earthsea books with a dash of Lewis Carroll thrown in. It's a charming story about the adventures of the last unicorn and is readable for all audiences."

"Originally I discovered this novel in a second-handed book store. I started reading it and ... crap!! ... some of the pages were missing. It intrigued me to the point of me actually breaking down and buying a new book (I am really cheap .. er.. frugal. The Last Unicorn is a lovely story. The description of the characters and surroundings are vivid .. lovely."

"The Last Unicorn isn't okay Reed for the genre, but Peter S beagle kind of let me down on this one. Not one of my favorite books not the worst either but it's something I'd rather not have read."

"I really enjoyed reading this book, i got it a few weeks ago cause a friend recommended this book. The cover is pretty much a piece of art. I like the story and the author knows how to describe the story. I highly recommend this book."
