"Big star trek fan, so I thought I'd love this. It was good, but not something spectacular. Ok."

"If the book says Star Trek, I will read it. This book is mainly about the Kilngons, love it! Worf was always one of my favorites. The only disappointment is that it wasn't longer. "

"This book focuses on the Klingon General Martok and fans of him will like him even more after reading this book. The story is well-written and I think it's good that new characters are introduced to this story. The challenge faced by Martok is to try to bring together factions in his homeland, and of his enemies is his son. It's an interesting tale about war and family. "

"Here is a book where I can really delve in to the Star Trek series without watching the series. I find that SciFi books are often better than the screen version, because my imagination is the only limit that I have to picturing a new story and characters."

"This book should only be considered by serious young Star Trek Deep Space Nine fans. The problem is , I'm not sure that they exist because DS9 is such an old show at this point. As a stand alone science fiction novel , this book is not great."

"This focuses on the Klingons and provides a lot of insight to their backstory and characters. Some have labelled it the most important Klingon story to date, and compared its depth to J.R.R. Tolkien of the Lord of the Rings series. An excellent addition to any Star Trek fan's library."

"This was a great edition to the Deep Space Nine series. The plot really intrigued me and I had a hard time putting the book down. Highly recommended if you love sci fi."
