"I have little experience in the works with L. Frank Baum, but I was recommended by a friend to check out some of his best works. This book has it charms, and I can see why the author is well-respected. A bit on the short side, I feel this book is more intended for young children, or adolescents wishing to read and learn more about Santa Claus. I was able to finish the book in a day or two, and was left demanding a bit more from the author."

"Yet another Santa book in a market over saturated with Christmas books. 0/10 would not read again."

"I found out nothing new with this book. I found it boring. It was a real disappointment. Do not waste your money."

"One of the most interesting thoughts a child can have in the 90s was about Santa. I agree that L. Frank Baum writes curiously and adventurously enough to appeal to kids and gives a great representation of the 90s for those kids that may be out of context to relate. I know they tell you don't judge a book by it's cover, but from the Artwork on the front cover it really draws the reader in."

"My book club is doing a 90's throwback month, and I chose this book. It's gotten mixed reviews but hey, that means more debate for book club!"

"While this book fits the definition of classic, in my experience it doesn't fit for teens. Most teens do not believe in Santa Claus and there are other classics out there that would fit that age group better."

"This a great holiday book about Santa. Kids love hearing the story and looking at the illustrations. It paints a picture of Santa as he grows from a child into an adult. So even if you think it is just a kids book it isn't. Great for any age."
