"This book was ok. It was hard to get into, but once I got past the first couple of chapters, I kind of enjoyed it."

"Elizabeth I was a very private person, yet this book was able to explore many different aspects of the queen's life. Her loves, ambitions, sorrows, concerns. This book reveals more about this very powerful queen, illustrating her impacts and influences as queen, but also revealing the type of person she was in private. A thoroughly enjoyable book."

"I am a huge fan of historical books that have a plot and this book fit that description perfectly. The book is filled with interesting information and great amounts of drama. The read is a bit difficult because of the style of writing. However, I think that is to be expected with historical based books. Overall, I think it is a great book and worth a read. "
