"While this novel does take place in Wales, the story is poorly written and often boring. the reader will find their minds wandering. this is not indicative of a "best" novel."

"The book really set me on a wonderful adventure as these are stories passed down over time through folklore. I felt myself transported back in time and felt as if I was reliving the times. It was a nice break from a lot of the modern day works and really helps you reflect on where we've come from."

"The collection of work has been preserved and handed down for centuries. As a history major, we were required to read this book for Medieval literature in 2015 and it was fascinating that these stories were preserved and traced all the way back to the 13th century. The writing styles of the works were interesting to read and compare to the oral history. From the tales from the Famed King Arthur and his court to a knights tale depicting his valor, it was all very interesting to read works from the Medieval era and being able to travel back in time to read about the stories of the era."
