"I remember when I first time saw a movie by this play. I fell in love with story. And I was looking for translation to read, and I found this book online. I loved the way of classical storyline, interesting plot and characters. I was fascinated that in such times when Shakespeare wrote this play, he showed how smart women are and I fell in love with this play even more. I liked the way main characters helped each other even risking their own marriage. And women acted really smart by "checking" their husbands' faithfulness. "

"The Merchant of Venice is a classic read, if you like Shakespeare. I have a hard time reading Shakespeare and getting into it, but the story is a classic that's lasted for centuries."

" The Merchant of Venice was one of the books that my friend told me that I had to read at least once. To him, this was a Shakespeare classic and was better than Romeo and Juliet. I was eager to read this and when I did, it blew away my expectations! I would rec this to anyone who wanted a classic Shakespeare story but wanted better than the usual."

"The Merchant of Venice is a classic by William Shakespeare that provides the best pagemaster book compilation. There are plot twists that relate to modern day. There are added notes that help for additional study, and provide a great resource for school projects. "

"The Merchant of Venice is one of the greatest stories of the 16th century. It is directly from the mind of William Shakespeare of Rome and Juliet fame. Follow Bassanio on his quest to win acceptance and to be able to marry the love of his life. Read this story to find out if he succeeds!"

"The Merchant of Venice is certainly a classic and it is not at all related to the Holocaust. But I wouldn't call it a historical fiction book in the least. Even though it is one of Shakespeare's best, it is a poor fit in this category."

"The Merchant of Venice is easily one of the best graphic novel adaptations of Shakespeare's works. I'm a huge fan of this heralded writer but generally don't enjoy such adaptations. Luckily, this one was quite well done. The pictures actually added a lot to the story. I'm glad I bought it."
