"This book does fit into this category, but only partially. It is more about a tragic love story between Noah and Allie when they were younger. It has a lot of heart wrenching story about these two people who are destine to find their way back to each other. "

"1996 was a great year. I was playing Metal Gear Solid, some of the best songs came out. But, what about the best books of that year. It is sometimes easy to miss great pieces of works because of how much entertainment passes our face everyday, but I think it's important to look back on a year like 1996 and find the best books to read. I think this is a great intro to that year of books. "

"So I'm your average guy that usually doesn't read or watch many romantic items, unless I'm doing so with my wife. I'm not ashamed however to say, at the risk of losing my man card, that I thought this was a very well written and engaging story. The characters seem very real, the plot is interesting, and the end was a big surprise to me as well. If your girl hasn't read or seen this yet guys, you might want to consider this one."

"I never saw this movie - never wanted to see it. Love stories aren't my preference. I bought the Kindle edition and decided to see what the fuss was all about. I actually enjoyed it. To me, it wasn't really a love story - just a story. It was a surprisingly quick read and a nice distraction."

"This book was immensely popular, and I am mystified as to why. The pacing is slow, the descriptions are shallow, the characters are poorly fleshed out. It's so sappy and sentimental, even for a romance. It's the literary equivalent of a glurgy email forward. What a waste of reading time."

However I do not think this to be the best book on his list. Check out his list and look at read some of the classics."
