"This book can easily be applied to many stages and ages in a woman's life. It is appropriate for high school years through senior years as it will apply to many. Something can be learned in every stage and this book will be sure to teach it. Remain open minded when reading as it will bring up some thoughts that women can be undecided about. It is a wonderful source for an essay for college and also for high school. It will appeal to many across the board. "

"The Second Sex is a powerful book that inspires a lot of women in the best of ways. When I read the book, it gave me an understanding the movement behind feminism and it's basic core belief. It educated me about the equality and the book broke down the story to me so that it was easy to understand. "

"This was an interesting read. I became with the author from a French professor, and love her take on the fairer sex, and how we are perceived in our world. I thought I was the only one questioning woman's place in the world - it was nice to see that I was not alone."

"I got "The Second Sex" because I was looking for the best nonfiction books. This book was good, but far from the best. The book was all over the place and it was hard to follow."

"This is a good hit, although a limited return. With as many feminist books out there - fiction and nonfiction - I would have been happier with a list of books curated by someone . However, this individual title does satisfy my needs to find a feminist book to read, and I would be interested in learning more and possibly reading this title."

"If you happen to have the chance to spread the word in your group about a good read mention The Second Sex by Simone de Beauvoir. This is a great bridge to discussion of many of the feminist issues we face today. "

"This is a long, difficult book to get through but well worth the read. Simone de Beauvoir dives deep into womanhood. It should be required reading for all women in the western world. "

"The solution description has a bunch of nonsense around the word woman. I also don't think the match was very good. The book skews way to far to one side. As in if I just want a good book I sure as heck don't want something that is politically charged or is trying to support women rights etc. It needs to be more middle of the road unless specified otherwise. this result would make me stop using the search."

"Loved this book, it was a great and excellent read, it will definitely be with you for a while and have you thinking of what you just read . Took me about a week to get this out of my system because i keep coming back to what i read and just thinking about it. "

"This is an in depth look at inequality that's still slanted at the female sex. Takes a look at the Westerns attitudes towards women."

"It discusses an interesting topic. Although the view is limited to a few societies."
