"Since I was a little kid I found serial Killers interesting. I have read many books about them. The most recent book I read called The Serial Killer Files was a real good book. It had more information about the killers than I have read about before. I was impressed with it."

"I bought this for my niece who's into true crime, and so far she seems to be pleased. She said her favorite chapters were about the least famous killers, because she already knew about most others. There seems to be a lot of information presented within."

"I found the book to be gripping and terrifying, yet I couldn't stop reading. It's crazy how the stories of these serial killers pale in comparison to the Hollywood movies we often see on them. I found the book to be a fascinating insight into the most psychologically disturbed. "

"For my history class, I thought to pick up The Serial Killer Files for general research before I went deeper into a character. I was not disappointed when skipping to one character or another, but it would have been a drag to read them all in a row."

"Despite the graphic nature of the book that's suggested by the title, Schechter does a great job of imparting the facts about serial killers without overdramatizing the incidents he's describing. Great job of telling us why some terrible people do what they do."

  • Andrew James

"If you were expecting a book called The Serial Killer Files to be light and jaunty you would be crazy thankfully I was not expecting that. This book is intensely dark and graphic about the very twisted and horrifying things real serial killers do and I definitely had to read it chapter by chapter just to keep my head clear. Still, it was really worth it considering the level of detail the author goes into."
